Another whippy Day to basically No where

Hey gang

Another whippy day, but fun. We retraced a full 50% off of the lows of the day, so tomorrow will be up to GS pretty much and Google on Thursday.

Here is an iron Condor on Google I am looking at (this is for you Cuban Jim) :)

Looks like we are right where were,  just a bit lower for the week, now what? Well GS comes out before the bell tomorrow and my bet is they beat and gap but ultimately gain will fade. (like every other company has done so far) :)

They bounced right at double bottom and the RL low

Ebay is out and looks to be another pop and drop. So that would be good for NQ bears :)

Well I am ready for GS to announce but also looking for Google on Thursday and AMD

    I'm here. I find it interesting that futures have gone down since last night, especially after the slew of good news. That does seem like a trend change.
  • That's what I mentioned Friday the 15th was the double top high, we retested it on Tuesday and again failed, then we went down to the 113.20 support (allot there and bounced) I feel we will retest that and finally break :)

    Hi Anna, I brought up the GOOG iron condor on my TOS analyze page. That white line makes this look like an almost risk free trade. I looked at IC’s for other stocks and I see the same thing. Maybe, I don’t understand the analyze tool. The white line is the profit/loss line for the specified date. Yes? Any movement either direction produces instant profit and as I advance the date the profit increases. What am I missing?
  • Hi Suzor, no its not risk free, however the risk is low as Google usually always moves 8-10% one way or the other. You have cover yourself with puts and calls and have a neutral IV. What you need is movement.
    I am doing a straight vPs as I am bearish, but wanted you guys to put out less risk, until you are comfy with options. G/L to us :)

    Pretty sure she cut a variety of them (at least 1/2) near 1130 /es or so. I know she had mentioned holding some through the end of the week at least -- but as she was working with 111s (rolled down from 112s, for a profit) she may have cut and run to re-establish at a higher price.

    All in all, since i can't speak for her, I think it's safe to assume she cut at least half on the dip and is either reloading or waiting to add at these levels (if I know anna's trading style).

    I'll explain -- it's my deal... sigh...

    As you may know, the 133 extension is a 133% channel extension whenever an established channel breaks out or down, providing a reversal target of sorts should the breakout or down fail. It involves taking the established channel -- aka 0 to 100% -- and extending it to 133.3% to establish a new outer channel line within which the breakout or down must be contained.

    The 133.3 channel extension is a phenomenally useful tool for predicting channel 'breakout' reversals. If a breakout is suspect, it will be contained within the 133.3% -- examples are abound if anyone would like more (I just went through my disqus and searched for 133, came up with dozens of examples).

    Here's how i do a 133 extension on a platform that doesn't allow for customization of channels (like ProphetCharts; TOS charts: edit channel, add curve, enter 133.3 or -0.333 if it's on the other side, ie, an inverse 133 extension... done!): Synthetic 133.3% extension -- move the new channel's 75% line to the 100% line of the old channel.
